Halloween
I am sooo ready for fall! It is supposed to be blazing hot this week still - yuck! My sweaters and boots are screaming, "Wear ME!".. I am so sick of my summer clothes.. uggh! We have started to think about Halloween this year. I think sweet girl will be a Miami Cheerleader (Carey gave us Hallie's old dress!) and monkey will be a Miami Hockey Player. We have mostly everything, just need to get a helmet and pompoms. I would love to get these - how cute are they??

Sweet Girl's First Haircut!
Even though we are growing out sweet girl's hair, she needed a trim! It is actually pretty long when it is wet but it curls up when dry. The lady only cut about 1/4" off but it looks a little better. We all thought for sure she would scream and cry the whole time but she was all smiles. I am not sure she realized what was happening.
First Day of Preschool
Here are my standard 3 pictures I have taken of monkey each year of preschool! He loved his first day - they only downfall was that I had to walk him in... he wanted to do it by himself! His favorite part of the day was snack - Cheese Balls! What they had for snack is about all I get out of him every day. Other than that, everything is boring! Oh well.. I know he really loves it.

The Renaissance Fair
Yesterday, after church, we decided to go to the Renaissance Fair. It kind of started out as a joke but we figured monkey would really like it. We actually had a lot of fun! There were a LOT of people dressed up in crazy clothes (ant they didn't work there) so it made for good people watching! We watched a jousting match, a mud show and played some games. Coach climbed up a Jacob's Ladder and won some money - woo hoo!

Fall is here!
Today's cool weather has inspired me to change the blog to fall!
Today, monkey and I had a date to Kings Island. It was super crowded! We went to the top of the Eiffel Tower for the first time and rode the scrambler. Yikes.. I am very prone to motion sickness but monkey really wanted to go. I kept my eyes down the whole time and it wasn't that bad!!

It's been a long time!
We are still around! Carey was reminding me that I have not blogged in a long time!!We have had a busy few weeks traveling and with visitors. The kids and I went to Denver to visit my parents for a week and had a great time. I was so worried about sweet girl in the plane but she did great. This was a time I was glad she was shy! Flying with monkey at this age, I spent the entire flight walking up and down the the aisles with him but she stayed on my lap the whole time! Coming home, there were 40 open seats so we got a row to ourselves and she wore monkey's CARES Vest which made me feel better about her safety - it was super bumpy!
We did a lot of swimming in Denver - monkey was jumping off the side and swimming by himself, no vest, back to the steps! It was so cool! I have a friend there who had a 3 year old who was doing it also and monkey couldnt let the little boy show him up! Both kids got some sort of bug out there:( But it was still so great to spend time with Nana and PopPop. My parents got a new iMac when we were there and it is awesome!! I installed Skype on it and we have been skyping with my parents!
Coach's mom came to visit the day after we got home and we had a great time also. She and I had a shopping day and monkey and GopGop made yummy chocolate chip cookies together!
Sweet girl had her 18 mo (1 mo late!) check up this week - 60% for height and 40% for weight. She just weighs 21 lbs. We finally turned her around in her carseat. That's about it around here.. Old friends that moved to DC are coming to visit today - yay. School starts Sept 8 - double yay!!
