Snow!

Well, our Ikea trip was cancelled..boo. But the snow is so beautiful! Monkey and coach both have snow days so we are going to hang out and stay warm! We will hopefully go to Panera but it will probably be for lunch when the roads are better. The minivan (hopefully my monogrammed minivan soon!) doesn't do as well as the 4Runner in the snow but it's not horrible. I shoveled the driveway yesterday and my back is killing me! I took some pics I will post later. Coach is planning on crafting monkey a luge track today he can ride on! There is definatly enough snow! We are still lovin' the snow.

Tomorrow, Carey and I are planning an Ikea trip. Now that Brady is potty trained, Hallie, Brady and monkey can go to the play place there and we can have a nice quiet shopping trip with the babies - yay! I am planning on getting this for sweet girl - I know it would look so great at the table. Our kitchen has black granite countertops and white cabinets with red accents. This would be perfect! Now, I need to find a good suction cup bowl. I bought a $12 one from amazon I thought would be great but it doesn't stick at all, so it is going back! Any suggestions??

Menu Plan Monday

It is snowing AGAIN!!! I heart snow!! It is so pretty to look out the window in the breakfast nook, drink my coffee and watch it snow. We will venture out later to go to Jo-Ann Fabrics to see if they can figure out how I messed up my sewing machine! I really had no idea how to thread it, etc and it is a mess! I am trying to make sweet girl a pillowcase for her toddler pillow! We always make it a point to go to Panera on snowy days so we have to go there too! My parents always call us from Denver to tell us "We are at Panera watching the snow come down!" So I guess this rubbed off on us. Leftover from our Oakley days when we could walk there.. tear :( So here goes the week of meals!! I got a lot of these meals from a lady's blog I read at Orgjunkie

Projects

Monkey and I have been very busy organizing and creating new spaces. Here are our efforts over the past 3 days. Next up, Coach will be repainting the family room (hopefully!) while we are stuck inside with 10-12 " of snow!!

Productivity

I have actually been pretty productive today! While sweet girl slept, I organized the linen closet. I took the top sheet, fitted sheet and pillowcase of each set and put them in the remaining pillowcase - I wish I would have taken a before/after shot but I forgot! Now, my closet has nice packs of sheet sets! much easier for stacking! Monkey and I moved our microwave cart from our old house into my 'workshop' (as monkey calls it!) and created a wrapping station! all my tape, bags, scissors and tissue paper are in it. Now, I need to clean out my wrapping paper tubs and put them in there also! Then we made the US Weekly lentil soup for dinner! Coach and sweet girl are going to stay home for monkey's swimming so they can supervise the cooking of the soup! 15 mins till nap time and I am going to have a diet coke and watch Millionaire Matchmaker:)
